Olive oil producer prices reach 4,90€/kg at the start of the new crop year in Greece

We should emphasize on the fact that the highest producer price that was reached during the previous crop year (2021/22) was 4,085€/kg and last year's starting point was the price of 4,20€/kg respectively.

The cooperative of Agioi Apostoloi closed the first batch of sale of fresh olive oil (new harvest) at the price of 4,90 €/kg. The quantity sold is equivalent to 12 trucks, about 300 tons of olive oil, of the well-known variety of Athinoelia, seized every year by the Italians.

Optimism is expressed that the prices will continue to be satisfactory so that finally all the available olive oils will be sold in a high average price (moyenne) during the whole crop year. This act also put an end to the speculation that had been developed regarding the starting point of the producer prices in the 2022/23 crop year.

At this point we should emphasize on the fact that the highest producer price that was reached during the previous crop year (2021/22) was 4,085€/kg and last year’s starting point was the price of 4,20€/kg respectively.
